NACHC Welcomes Fall 2018 Public Policy and Research Interns

We are very excited to introduce our Fall 2018 Public Policy and Research Division Intern Team!

Raksha Dondapati, University of Pennsylvania (she, her, hers)

Raksha is a is a State Affairs intern and junior at the University of Pennsylvania from Monroe Township, New Jersey. She is majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and minoring in Health Care Management. She is very interested in health policy, particularly concerning health equity, health disparities, and social determinants of health, and is excited to gain exposure to the field during her time at NACHC.

On campus, Raksha is a member of Alpha Phi Omega, a service fraternity, served as the online editor of a social impact magazine, and held an internal committee position in the Undergraduate Economics Society, Previously, Raksha has interned at Gauze, an international database of hospitals, and Aetna. After graduation, she hopes to work for a few years before pursuing an MBA in health care administration. Rachel Sadoff, Harvard (they/them/theirs)

Rachel is a Research and Federal Affairs intern. Rachel is an undergraduate student from Harvard, where they study History & Literature and Global Health & Health Policy. They were raised in Washington D.C., Geneva, Kathmandu, Bangkok, and Rome. Rachel is interested in the interplay among healthcare, law, technology, and international development. Their wide variety of interests have led them to study war, poetry, film, psychology, and Italian literature.

Rachel has worked at startups, nonprofits, humanist congregations, and coffee shops along the East Coast. In addition to their work at NACHC, Rachel teaches English online and serves as a policy intern at Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (of the Global Fund). Their role models include their parents, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Frank Ocean.
