Advocacy 101

Organizing Your Health Center Staff

We are always thinking about ways to engage growing numbers of health center staff in our grassroots movement! That starts with being intentional about the creation of an advocacy plan, and delegating responsibilities to leaders up and down the health center organization.

Our partners at the Michigan PCA have shared examples of emails, talking points, and advocacy presentations they use to spread the word from leadership to health center staff. Feel free to take these and make them your own!

What strategies are you using to identify new supporters among staff and patients? Some health centers use a break room flyer as a conversation starter, and others have successfully hosted postcard-writing parties to ignite the spark of advocacy!
